Tunisia: Tunisair launches new Djerba-Tripoli air service

Tunisair will launch a new air route between the island of Djerba and Tripoli from May 10, 2012, said information officer of the national airline, Soulefa Mkadmi.

The official said that Tunisair will operate regular flights between Djerba and Tripoli at a rate of two flights (round trip), per week (Thursday and Sunday).

In addition, Mrs. Mkadmi announced that Tunisair will add, from May 8, a supplementary frequency between Tunis and Tripoli, by means of 3 weekly flights (Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday).

Similarly, “Tunisair” is now serving the city of Benghazi every day (7 flights per week).

Between 1.5 million and 2 million Libyans visit Tunisia a year for tourism or medical care.
