Tunisia: UNIMED announces plans to establish industrial subsidiary in Sultanate of Oman

UNIMED has just announced that its Board of Directors, meeting on Thursday, September 28, 2023, has authorized the project to create an industrial subsidiary based in the Sultanate of Oman called “UNIMED OMAN”.

This subsidiary will specialize in the secondary packaging of semi-finished products manufactured at UNIMED’s industrial sites and sold on the Omani market and on the market of the Gulf countries.

The subsidiary, which will be set up in the Sohar free zone, will enable UNIMED’s products to penetrate target markets more effectively and will help to increase its export turnover and generate highly attractive consolidated returns.

The share capital of this subsidiary consists of 4,000 shares, 99% of which are held by UNIMED, i.e. 3,960 shares, and 1% by Mr. Ridha CHARFEDDINE, i.e. 40 shares. It is valued at 40,000 Omani Riyal, or USD 104 thousand.

This subsidiary will be financed by UNIMED’s own funds, the company points out in a press release.
