Tunisia: UBCI picks Oracle as partner for new IT system

UBCI has just taken another important step in the bank’s transformation program.

Indeed, after the finalization of the operation of transferring in March 2021 most of the BNP group’s shares to the Carte group, which now holds 39% of UBCI’s capital and thus becomes the reference shareholder, a project has been launched for the selection of a new IT System specific to UBCI.

The Bank started by defining the main strategic orientations of the target information system.

This system must above all secure the existing system and guarantee the continuity of the products and services currently offered to its customers.

Thanks to its new IT System, UBCI has the ambition to open up to its ecosystem and to develop its digital offer in order to provide the best customer experience.

At the end of a structured selection process, the Global Banking solution from the world’s leading company ORACLE was chosen.

To crown this innovative and ambitious approach, a signing ceremony was held on March 28 at UBCI headquarters in the presence of ORACLE representatives, its integrator PROFINCH and UBCI staff.

“Through this technological partnership, UBCI is fully committed to improving the customer experience by choosing an innovative business software package while maintaining its fundamentals.

This is a major revolution and a significant card to play in order to stand out and highlight its added value by promoting innovation and diversity of the offer for all of its individual, professional and corporate customers,” says Mohamed Koubaa, General Manager of UBCI.

“We are pleased to partner with UBCI and to build an extremely prosperous future together. UBCI has conducted a thoughtful process of mapping its banking transformation journey and has carefully and objectively selected the technology partners that can best help them achieve their business. ” said Mr. Sonny Singh, General Manager of Global Financial Services at Oracle.
