Tunisia: UNIMED to open laboratory in Sudan

UNIMED will open a pharmaceutical laboratory in Sudan. This was announced Monday by its Chairman and CEO, Mr. Ridha Charfeddine at a lunch-debate organized by the company to discuss UNIMED projects.

Charfeddine was quoted as saying by ilboursa, the project whose investment cost is estimated at $ 8 million, provides for the construction of a pharmaceutical laboratory in partnership with a local investor.

The company, last year, gave up the acquisition of a majority stake in a pharmaceutical group in East Africa and decided to focus more on the MENA region by developing its presence in Libya, Sudan and Middle East, according to the same source.
