Tunisia: US dollar exceeds for first time 3.200-dinar bar on interbank market

The U.S. dollar, on Monday, August 22, 2022, exceeded the threshold of 3.200 dinars on the interbank market for the first time in the history of the Tunisian foreign exchange market.

According to the average currency rates published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), a dollar is now worth 3.209 dinars, exceeding for the first time the symbolic mark of 3.200 dinars.

The last record was registered on July 12 when 1 dollar was traded for 3.196 dinars.

This depreciation of the dinar against the dollar is due to the rise of the greenback, which went Monday above the threshold of one euro.

In addition, one euro is also traded against 3.209 dinars on the interbank market.
