Wifak International Bank has informed its shareholders and the public that it has secured the approval of the General Council of Insurance and the Ministry of Finance for the acquisition of 95.9% of the capital of the insurance company Attakafulia.
It should be noted that the company’s capital has belonged until now at 96% to financial companies and, up to 4%, to private investors.
The financial companies are “Assurances Salim”, a subsidiary of the Banque de l’Habitat, the Société Tunisienne d’Assurances et de Réassurance (STAR), the Caisse Tunisienne des Assurances Mutuelles Agricoles (CTAMA), the Assurances Mutuelles Ittihad (AMI), the Mutuelle Assurance de l’Enseignement (MAE), the Société Tunisienne de Réassurance (Tunis Ré), the STUSID Bank, and “The Islamic Insurance Co”. (I.I.C of Jordan).
