A consultative meeting on the future activities of the Yazaki Group in Tunisia and the development of its sites to strengthen the business environment was the subject of a workshop that was held on Wednesday at the Ministry of Industry in Tunis.
It brought together Mohamed Lamine Chakhari, Minister of Industry and Technology and a delegation of Japanese Yazaki automotive group, led by Philippe SCHLIENGER CEO of Yazaki in Paris and Fernando CASTRO Director of Yazaki plant in Gafsa.
The minister stressed the importance that the government grants to the success of Yazaki Tunisia, reaffirming to the group managers the will to grant the needed assistance to this company to strengthen its position in Gafsa.
He said that efforts are being conducted at national and regional levels to facilitate the redevelopment of the company in Tunisia to help realize its development plans and consolidate its growth and jobs in the region.
Philippe SCHLIENGER said, on this occasion, that the Group works to strengthen activities in Tunisia and combine with the Tunisian authorities the appropriate conditions to preserve existing jobs and take future actions in a calm climate conducive to the development of the company.
He said during this meeting that efforts to boost the site of Gafsa coincide with the group’s decision to launch a new project in Gafsa to adapt production methods to developments in the world of automotive industry.
