Tunisian olive oil promotion mission in Senegal

A strategic promotion mission for Tunisian olive oil on the Senegalese market will be organized from July 8 to 10, 2026, Tunisia’s CEPEX (Export Promotion Center) announced on Tuesday.

The mission is part of the “Support to the AfCFTA” project, mandated by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ in partnership with Tunisia’s Ministry of Trade and Export Development and CEPEX.

The initiative aims to strengthen the reputation and authenticity of Tunisian olive oil among key stakeholders in Senegal through a commercial, institutional and cultural approach, while facilitating qualified B2B meetings between Tunisian exporters and Senegalese importers and distributors.

The mission also seeks to establish long-term commercial partnerships enabling Tunisian and Senegalese economic operators to position themselves sustainably within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) market.

In addition, it aims to provide media visibility and influence to raise awareness of Tunisian olive oil among the general public and high-income consumers.

Tunisian companies operating in the olive oil sector and seeking to expand their presence in the Senegalese and West African markets are invited to register no later than June 8, 2026, CEPEX added.
