Tunisia: Tunisia sees modest decline in unemployment in 2013 Q4

The unemployment rate in Tunisia went down slightly to 15.3 per cent in the fourth quarter last year against 15.7 per cent during the third quarter, according to the Tunisian national statistics institute.

The unemployment rate was at 15.9 per cent in the second quarter of 2013 as against 16.5 per cent in the first quarter, the institute said.

The unemployment rate for men is estimated at 12.9 per cent during last year’s fourth quarter.

As regards unemployment for higher education graduates, it is estimated at 31.9 per cent against 33.5 per cent in the third quarter of the same year.
