The regional tourism delegation in Sousse announced that 6,000 bookings have been made in hotels during the night of New Year’s Eve.
In a statement given to Shems FM on Thursday, December 31, 2015, Regional Delegate of Tourism in Sousse, Foued Eloued, confirmed the increase in the number of visitors to the area during the winter holidays and especially during the weekend of the New Year’s Eve.
He said that 8,000 visitors are expected during the end of the week from December 26, 2015.
From the beginning of the year to 20 December, the region recorded a 23% decrease in the number of visitors and a decrease by 44.5% in overnight stays, the Regional Delegate of Tourism Sousse added.
