The Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII) and the German International Cooperation Agency for Development (GIZ), on Monday, signed a financing contract of €800 thousand (2,584 thousand dinars) to set up a new support program for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The objective of this program is to help these companies cope with the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, said a press release issued by the GIZ.
Within the framework of this contract, the GIZ has made available to the APII, a budget that will be available from July 2020 until August 2022, for the establishment of a fund to finance the expenses incurred by SMEs in the automotive and aeronautics sectors and which are related to the new protection measures against COVID-19.
This financing contract is part of the project “Partnership for employment and support for medium-sized enterprises in Tunisia” of the GIZ.
This project is part of the Special Training and Employment Initiative mandated by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and SMEs.
