At the end of the first nine months of the current year, Banque de Tunisie achieved a net banking income of 376.2 million dinars, compared with 336.5 million dinars at the end of the third quarter of 2006, an increase of 11.8%.
Income from banking operations went up by 10.7% to 650.4 million dinars, from 587.8 million dinars at September 30, 2023. This increase was mainly due to interest (+11.3%).
Banking operating expenses rose by 9.1% from 251.2 million dinars to 274.2 million dinars.
Customer loans (net of provisions) reached 5,845 million dinars, compared to 5,464 million dinars at the end of September 2023, an increase of 7%.
Customer deposits grew by 8.8% from 5,667 million dinars to 6,163 million dinars, up 496 million dinars.
This growth was mainly driven by the 17.4% increase in time deposits, which totaled 1,965 million dinars, and the 12.6% increase in savings deposits (+244.6 million dinars).
