Tunisian Battery Company ASSAD closed the 2025 financial year with an overall positive performance, confirming the solidity of its position in the Tunisian market despite a more contrasting external environment.
Annual revenue stood at 112.3 million dinars, an increase of 8.3% compared to 2024, reflecting a controlled growth trajectory. This progress was primarily driven by the local market, which posted remarkable performance.
Domestic sales recorded sustained growth of 21%, rising from 48.7 million dinars to 59 million dinars in 2025. This evolution demonstrates the continued strengthening of ASSAD’s commercial presence in Tunisia, in a context of sustained demand and consolidation of its market share.
Conversely, export activity experienced a slight decline. International revenue stood at 53.3 million dinars, down 3% compared to 2024. This contraction was accompanied by a moderate decrease in production volume, which fell by 2.1% over the entire fiscal year, reflecting an adjustment of activity in the face of more challenging market conditions for exports.
Financially, ASSAD continued prudent management of its resources. Tangible and intangible investments made in 2025 amounted to 1.9 million dinars, a level lower than the previous year.
Simultaneously, the company maintained its deleveraging efforts, with a reduction in total debt of 8.4%, bringing it to 72.8 million dinars at the end of December 2025.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, ASSAD confirmed this trend. Quarterly revenue reached 32.2 million dinars, an increase of 3.3% compared to the same period in 2024. Once again, the local market stood out with strong growth of 20.7%, with sales increasing from 13.8 million dinars to 16.7 million dinars.
Conversely, exports decreased by 10.6% over the quarter, to 15.5 million dinars compared to 17.4 million a year earlier.
Overall, the 2025 fiscal year appears as a year of consolidation for ASSAD, marked by the robustness of the local market and financial choices oriented towards cleaning up the balance sheet structure.
