Tunisair and Etihad Airways on Friday officially announced the signing of a commercial codeshare agreement.
The agreement was signed by Ms. Halima Ibrahim Khouaja, Acting Director General of Tunisair, and Mr. Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen relations between the two airlines and aims to enhance the passenger experience while boosting tourist traffic between Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates.
Effective immediately, passengers will be able to make reservations between Tunis and Abu Dhabi using the flight code of either airline on flights operated by Etihad Airways.
This arrangement will allow travelers to benefit from a streamlined journey, including a single ticket, one-time check-in, and automatic transfer of luggage to the final destination.
Through this partnership, Tunisair strengthens access for its network to the Gulf countries—a strategic market with high potential—while expanding connecting options to Asia, the Middle East, and other international destinations.
The agreement reflects a shared vision for developing economic, tourist, and cultural exchanges between the two regions.
Through this agreement, Tunisair reaffirms its ability to establish strategic alliances and create sustainable value for its passengers, partners, and the national economy.
