Ennaifer: 192 digital projects in 2026–2030 Development Plan

Economic expert Bassam Ennaifer stated, in a comment to Mosaique FM, that the digital economy is no longer a secondary option, but rather a genuine engine of growth for the Tunisian economy, enabling it to raise its growth rate and create new job opportunities, particularly for young people and startups.

He explained that Tunisia is gradually moving toward building a comprehensive digital economy based on the principle: “Your transaction is digital.”

Official figures indicate that 192 digital projects have been incorporated into the 2026–2030 Development Plan, paving the way for the digitization of various administrative and public services, ranging from document issuance to licensing services, as well as tax and customs services.

He estimated that this transformation will bring about a qualitative shift in the business climate by reducing processing times, minimizing bureaucracy and facilitating access to information, thereby strengthening transparency and the competitiveness of the national economy.

It will also shorten waiting times for businesses and individuals and reduce administrative costs, representing a major asset for local investment.
