Tunisia ranked 78th in “KOF Index of Globalization,” 2nd in North Africa

Tunisia was ranked 78th (with a score of 59.20) at the “KOF Index of Globalization,” recently published by the ETH Zurich.

Morocco topped North African countries (61st with a score of 64.56) ahead of Tunisia, Egypt (85th), Algeria (117th), Mauritania (133rd) and Libya (44th).

In the economic dimension, Tunisia was ranked 82nd place with a score of 60.56.

On the social side, Tunisia has a mixed record; it ranked 130th with a score of 40.40.

The country’s ranking in the political dimension is quite interesting (47th place with a score of 84.68).

The index aims to measure the economic, social and political dimensions of globalization based on 23 variables.

It covers 207 countries around the world.

The overall ranking is led by Ireland (92.17), Belgium (91.61) and the Netherlands (91.33).

Luxembourg occupies the 15th place with a score of 84.57 out of 100. France occupies the 21st position (82.76) and Germany is 26th position (79.47).
