A series of online B2B meetings between Tunisian companies and one of the largest importing firms in Kenya was held from March 3 to 5, 2026, organized by the Export Promotion Center (CEPEX) with the aim of strengthening the presence of Tunisian products in East Africa.
The meetings brought together 30 Tunisian exporters operating in several strategic sectors, notably olive oil, dates, pasta, and hygiene products, according to CEPEX.
The center added that this initiative, coordinated by the Tunisian Trade Representation in Kenya, allowed participating companies to directly present their products, expertise, and production capacities to their Kenyan partner.
For the Kenyan importer, these exchanges provided an opportunity to discover the diversity and quality of Tunisia’s export offer, particularly in the agri-food sector, and to identify products that could be the subject of future import operations.
It should be noted that during the 2024/2025 season, Kenya became the leading African destination for packaged Tunisian olive oil, with exports reaching 216 tons worth 3.7 million Tunisian dinars.
Tunisia is also among the main suppliers of pasta on the Kenyan market, ranking 10th worldwide, CEPEX added.
