ADB publishes statistics on global financial crisis

The African Development Bank (ADB) Thursday started the daily publication of statistics on the current global financial crisis, the bank said in a statement.

It said the publication was aimed at “closely monitoring the evolution of the international financial crisis”.

The bank will publish, daily on its website, information on African and Western financial markets, the exchange rates and prices of raw materials.

”Since the (start) of the crisis, the ADB group has set up an interdepartmental working group in charge of monitoring the evolution of the crisis in Africa and in the rest of the world,” the statement said.

The information being provided cover all African countries and the key economies in the Americas and Asia.
