Air Mauritius, Emirates sign new trade agreement

The Emirates Airline Monday signed a new trade agreement with Air Mauritius under which the Mauritian airline will get more seats on the Port Louis-Dubai route, operated by the UAE carrier.

Signed between the CEO of Air Mauritius, André Viljoen, and executive vice president of Emirates, Thierry Antinori, the agreement aims to extend the Air Mauritius network to the UAE through the Dubai hub.

According to Air Mauritius, the new partnership increases the number of seats allocated to the Mauritian company on Emirates Airbus A380 planes.

The trade partnership will also allow Air Mauritius to access, via code sharing on the Emirates network, routes between Dubai and Russia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, China, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
