The non-oil tax receipts in Angola rose by 34% in 2013, increasing from 467 billion Angolan Kwanza in 2012 to 625 billion Kwanza last year (1 US dollar = 98 Kwanza), says the country’s national custom service on Wednesday.
For this current year and as a result of the expansion initiative for tributary reform which seeks to improve services to the populations and a significant gathering of receipts, the country’s national tax department (DNI) is projecting a 42% rise.
“Activities over the past few years are positive. We are optimistic and we think that with the engagement of technicians in tax administration, non-oil receipt this year could reach 885 million Kwanza,” said the director of the national tax department, Alice Paula Dos Santos Neves.
