Angola: US$100m Argentina credit to benefit Angolan population (Corrected)

A credit line of about US$100 million aimed at boosting cooperation between Angolan and Argentina entrepreneurs will bring about several benefits between the two States.

This was disclosed by the director for the America Department of the Angolan Foreign Ministry (Mirex), Isabel Resende, who said the credit line would be announced by the Argentina president Cristina Kirchner, during her visit to Angola on May 17-19.

Resende said that the credit would enable companies from the two countries to develop a strong investment in Angola.

According to the Mirex official, another benefit for Angolan and Argentina entrepreneurs is an interest rate of two percent and a 10 to 12-year refund period with a grace period of five years.

On trade between the two countries, the official said it stands at US$270 million, mainly favouring Argentina.
