Angolan business delegation leaves for Argentina

A 32-member Angolan business delegation left for Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sunday on a 5-day working visit aimed at promoting the Angolan market and attracting investments.

Angola’s state secretary for industry, Kiala Gabriel, heads the delegation which comprises representatives of the ministries of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Tourism, Commerce and Health.

According to Gabriel, the delegation will stop over in Salvador da Bahia (Brazil ) to attend the two-day economic forum organized by the Angola/Brazil Business Centre .

He said Angola intends to strengthen institutional cooperation with Brazil in ar eas of food production, agriculture equipment production and training of cadres, among other s.

The state secretary said Argentina was ready for investment in various sectors, including the hotel sector, hence the delegation includes hotel owners from the Angolan provinces of Huila (south), Bie (central highland) and Uige (north).

He said that the Angolan industrial park was recovering from several years of war, despite some constraints, stressing the need to protect Angolan-ma de products to reducing imports.
