Angolan govt to raise civil servants pay

The Angolan government will increase by 5.4 per cent the salary of workers in the country’s civil service, under the framework of a revised 2010 budget, the Angolan Press Agency, ANGOP, reported Monday.

On Monday (2Aug), the The Council of Ministers continued its 6th ordinary sessio n, which started Friday, to study the revised budget, which contained the proposal for the pay hike.

The meeting, presided over by President Jose Eduardo dos Santos, will also delib erate on the presidential decree on the creation of an office to manage the country’s for eign debt.
