Belgium: EU Commissioner for industry on a working visit to Tunisia

Brussels, Belgium – The European commissioner for industry, Antonio Tajani, on Thursday began a two-day working visit to Tunisia during which he will hold talks with top government officials, including the Tunisian Prime Minister, Hamadi Jebali, and the minister of industry and trade, Lamine Chakhari, an EU communiqué disclosed in Brussels.

According to the communique, Mr. Tajani will be soliciting for greater integration of markets through the standardization of Tunisian rules with those of the EU.

They will also discuss the the improvement of Tunisia’s technical infrastructure.

The European Union wishes to to strengthen its partnership with Tunisia to enable industries and Small and Medium Enterprises in the North African country to fully take advantage of trade relations between the two parties.
