BH Bank Group provides residential complex to medics and paramedics in quarantine

BH Bank Group, on Wednesday, made a residential complex in the industrial area of ​​Mghira, Ben Arous governorate available to the Health Ministry.

The building will be used to accommodate medics and paramedics in quarantine.

The three-floor building with a total surface of 6,000 m² has several dozen apartments equipped with bedding, living rooms, fitted kitchens, TV, WiFi, and other facilities, BH Bank Group CEO Hichem Rebai said.

It could accommodate from 100 to 150 residents, Rebai pointed out, adding that its apartments respect the rules of social distancing by reserving a single room for each person.

Health Minister Abdellatif Mekki commended this initiative which was launched at a time when the department is in dire need for accommodation centres for both front-line health workers and repatriated Tunisian nationals after the spread of COVID-19.

Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) Noureddine Taboubi hailed “this solidarity drive» which is part the national community’s support for the efforts to fight against the coronavirus.

It also shows how BH Bank has been committed to civic values since its creation, Taboubi added.

He asserted that other public and private institutions are also making similar initiatives in a bid to support the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

BH Bank donated has 11.4 million dinars to the 1818 Fund, its CEO reminded, stressing that the banking sector is committed to mobilise 125 million dinars to this fund to help stem the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Tunisia.
