Chinese Wuhan Yangluo Port Services expresses willingness to cooperate with Tunisia

A delegation from the Chinese group Wuhan Yangluo Port Services expressed on Saturday its willingness to launch international-level projects and create new investment opportunities and strong medium-term partnerships.

This was stated during a meeting with the Minister of Trade and Export Development, Samir Abid, according to a communiqué issued by the Ministry of Trade.

The Chinese group presents itself as a government-affiliated institution specializing in international trade, logistics, finance, and investment.

The delegation also expressed its readiness to contribute to upgrading the institutions under the supervision of the Ministry of Trade and to support the implementation of fundamental and strategic reforms within them.

This would help improve working methods through the exchange of expertise and the adoption of new technologies.

For his part, Minister Abid stressed the need to develop a clear roadmap for the effective launch of the joint projects planned between Tunisia and China, and to explore all possible opportunities in order to build a solid partnership that would enable access to African markets, given Tunisia’s position as a gateway to Africa.

The meeting was attended by the directors-general of partner institutions, including the Export Promotion Center (CEPEX), the Tunisian Trade Office (OCT), the Tunisian Company of Wholesale Markets (SOTUMAG), and Ellouhoum Company.

It should be recalled that the delegation paid its first visit to Tunisia last July, during which it expressed its interest in a partnership with Tunisia and its willingness to provide the necessary logistical and financial support to Tunisian institutions.
