Congo to invest 5 billion CFAF to boost business

The Congolese government will invest over 5 billion CFAF to establish a business house aimed at improving the business environment in the country, the Ministry of Small and Medium-seize companies said on Monday in a statement in Brazzaville.

“The set objective is not only to ensure economic growth through the development of entrepreneurship but also to develop the private sector in view of its contribution to the diversification of the Congolese economy strongly depending on oil,” the statement said.

Financed by the Congolese government and the African Development Bank, the Congolese business house will implement the plans to support development and the promotion of investment and the facilitation of the creation of private companies.

The institution will also help companies in the technological, financial and administrative domains.
