Tunisia: CONECT launches training program for 80 eco-entrepreneurs

The Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises (CONECT), partner of the Green Impact MED project (GIMED), Tuesday announced the launch of a training program for 80 eco-entrepreneurs with ideas for projects and projects in Tunisia.

This program seeks to train 40 entrepreneurs with ideas for green or circular projects and 40 entrepreneurs with already existing green or circular projects, in various fields, particularly in organic farming, sustainable waste management, renewable energies, sustainable tourism, organic textiles, sustainable construction as well as the production of organic cosmetics.

Selected candidates will benefit from training and support which will help them acquire new skills so that they implement their business ideas or develop their businesses.

The program will include initial 10-day training, focusing on the analysis and creation of socially and environmentally sustainable business models, market access and access to funding.

At the end of the training, the most promising project ideas and projects in the start up phases will be selected to access the next coaching phase (group coaching sessions and personalized coaching sessions for each of the selected participants).

The participants with the best project ideas and those finishing training will participate in a competition. Winners will receive € 7.500-grant to support the creation or development of their businesses.

The total project budget is € 2.6 million, including € 2.3 millions funded by the European Union. The funding received will support 400 entrepreneurs, women and young people holding management positions in companies in the start-up phase in the green and circular economy.
