Consumption prices rise by 0.4% in July in Senegal

The consumer price index for in Senegal increased by 0.4% in July, a statement from the Senegalese National Statistics and Demography Agency (ANSD) made available to PANA on Wednesday says.

“The increase explains itself by the rise in the food products, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, tobacco and drug, as well as various goods and services.” ANSD says.

“In annual variation, consumption prices have increased by 3.2%,” the statement said.

“The report on the average prices for the first seven months of this year compared with those for the period corresponding to last year increased by 3.9%,” the ANSD said, adding that the prices for food products and soft drinks increased by 1.8%
