The consumer price index recorded a monthly variation of 0, 6% (between April and May 2016), following a 0.7% increase the previous month, mainly due to rising prices of food and beverage group 1% and mainly vegetable (3.1%) and poultry (9, 1%) prices.
Still in the analysis of the monthly change in the CPI, clothing and footwear prices continue to recover, following the end of the winter sales (+ 0.9%).
Similarly, clothing prices increased by 1. 2% and apparels accessories went up 2.3%.
On the other hand, prices of the housing, water, gas, electricity and other fuels group rose 0.5% between April and May 2016 due to the increase in rents by 0.6%.
