Côte d’Ivoire: Shelter Afrique seeks 10b FCFA in West African financial market

The Pan-African institution specializing in housing, Shelter Afrique, on Wednesday launched a bond issue through public offering named “Shelter Afrique 6.60 per cent 2014-2021” to raise 10 billion FCFA in the West Africa regional financial market.

The transaction aims at financing projects in the West African Monetary and Economic Union (WAMEU).

In total, one million shares will be issued with a nominal value of 10,000 FCFA.

The subscription period expires on 21 February 2014.

Over the course of its 30-year history, Shelter Afrique has developed financing and partnership for projects totalling US$600 million.

The shareholding of Shelter Afrique includes 44 African states, African Development Bank (AfBD) and African Reinsurance (AFRICA-RE).
