Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara will officially inaugurate the northern motorway that links the economic capital of Abidjan to the political and administrative capital, Yamoussoukro, on 10 Dec. 2013, PANA reported Wednesday.
Work on the Motorway, which was built at a cost of 136 billion FCAF (US$281 million), was carried out in two phases with the rehabilitation of the old motorway and the construction of a new 85km-long motorway with two lanes that links Singrobo to Yamoussoukro.
The Ivorian government has signed a concessional agreement with the Road Maintenance Fund (FER) for the maintenance of the new road, on which motorists will pay a yet-to-be-fixed toll.
