The Angolan Ambassador to DR Congo, Mawete Joao Bap tista, announced here Monday November 12th the governments of the two countries plan to build a bridge over the Congo river linking the Angolan city of Soyo in Cabinda and the province of Lower Congo.
Joao Baptista, speaking at a reception to mark his country’s 32nd independence c elebration, said the bridge which awill be of bilateral interest to both countri e s would be a regional historical symbol and an assurance for the processes of in t egration in Southern and Central Africa.
“The project would be an example of the pride of and a guarantee for future generations of the two countries,” the diplomat added.
