Dubai: Pay your taxi fare by credit, debit or Nol card

20 airport taxis to start with, followed by Hala taxis and the rest of the of them by mid-2015.
Dubai: Dubai taxis offer the additional options to pay the fares by Nol card, debit or credit cards with the aim to make taxi rides easier and intend to benefit tourists who often arrive in Dubai without much cash in hand.
Tourists no longer need to have local cash currency in hands to pay the airport taxi fares. Residents of Dubai can use the unified Nol card since there is easy integration of all RTA means of transport.
The first batch of taxis equipped with the new technology will be the airport taxis, followed by Hala taxi and the rest of them by mid-2015.
Visa, Mastercard, JCB, China Union Pay, and Diners, are accepted to proceed with taxi fares payment.
Credit and debit card payment adds an extra charge of Dh2 to the fare; Nol card will add Dh1.
It is also possible to tip the driver as the device has an optional button for this.
This initiative will definitely raise the level of satisfaction of taxi commuters.
