The European Union (EU) will give Morocco aid worth 80 million euros to finance projects aimed at promoting economic and social development as well as human rights and good governance, the European Commission said in a statement obtained by PANA in Brussels Thursday.
It said the funds would be added to the EU’s technical assistance to Morocco, worth 190 million euros a year.
During the meeting of the EU-Morocco Cooperation Council held earlier this week, both sides adopted a new comprehensive plan aimed at ensuring respect for human rights and democratic principles, improving governance and promoting greater involvement of civil society,
