Ambassador, Head of the European Commission Delegation in Tunis Adrianus Koetsenruijter expressed will of the European Union (EU), Tunisia’s chief partner, to help Tunisia promote its olive oil on European markets.
He said, at the celebration of Olive Tree tourism Day on Thursday in Jemmel (South of Monastir), that Tunisia’s olive oil had unique specificities, urging Tunisian exporters to canvass the European market to get to know the aspirations of European customers and thus secure the sale of their product.
Mr. Koetsenruijter called on the 500 tourists attending the event to visit Tunisia and support this tourism destination which went through exceptional circumstances this year.
