Gabon chooses Tunisia to train its airport agents

Nearly 200 airport staffers and executives from Gabon will receive training at the Regional Aviation Security Training Center (AFSAC) under the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Tunis, under a Memorandum of Understanding recently signed between Tunisia and Gabon.

The training in several groups spread over 5 years, concerns the agents assigned to the services of safety, security, customs and immigration

This memorandum of understanding was signed, in Libreville, between the Director General of the ICAO Regional Aviation Security Training Centre in Tunis, Hassen Seddik and the Gabonese Minister of Transport and Logistics, Justin Ndoundangoye, according to a statement released by the center on Thursday.

The agreement is part of the implementation of ICAO recommendations calling on civil aviation stakeholders around the world to cooperate with training centers in order to develop skills and human capabilities working in the aeronautical industry in their countries, in accordance with international standards for the development of safety and security of civil aviation.
