Health Minister urges massive turnout at November 21 open vaccination day

Health Minister Ali Mrabet, on Tuesday, acknowledged a decline in demand for coronavirus vaccines.

At a press conference on the latest developments of the pandemic situation, he urged a massive turnout at the 7th open vaccination day for the age group over 18, scheduled for Sunday, November 21.

The vaccination rate is below 20% in seven delegations,

while nearly 1 million people aged over 18 years have not received any dose and another 1.5 million people have not yet completed the vaccination, he noted.

During the coming open vaccination day, people can choose between Pfizer, Johnson and Sputnik vaccines, Mrabet added.

Over 350 walk-in centres will be available from 8 am until 4 pm to ensure the success of this day.

The Minister stressed that vaccination is the only way to lower coronavirus infections and deaths.
