French company Macopharma will open, in April of this year, a production unit in Tunisia. “The plant is being built,” said Fabrice Letombe, CFDT union representative and secretary of the Works Council (EC).
“The buildings are under construction, with clean and sterile rooms. Activity will start in April 2012 with 200 persons. And by 2014 there will be there from 400 to 450 employees. This decision of the supervisory board aims to improve competitiveness in the global market, with a much lower industrial price and sale price equal to our competitors. ”
The information was reported today by French newspaper “La Voix du Nord,” amid union fears.
