Minister of Employment and Vocational Training Nasreddine Nsibi stressed during a meeting Tuesday with Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation (ALECSO) Mohamed Ould Amar, the need to strengthen cooperation in vocational training in the Arab world.

This is the first coordination meeting for the preparation of the third congress of ministers and officials in charge of technical and vocational education and training in the Arab world, which will be held soon in Algeria, said a statement issued Tuesday.

On this occasion, the two parties reviewed the recommendations of the 2nd Congress of Ministers and Heads of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in the Arab World which took place last October in Tunis.

In addition, the two parties discussed ways to boost cooperation and partnership between Arab countries in the field of training and promotion of vocational training systems to meet the needs of the labour market.

They agreed to draw up partnership agreements between the Ministry and ALECSO to promote cooperation programmes in the interest of the Arab countries.
