Tunisia: 800 businessmen expected to Arab SMIs meeting

Nearly 800 Arab businessmen are expected to the 6th Arab Meeting of Small and Medium Industries (SMIs) to be held from April 24 to 26, 2012 in Tunisia, Mr. Ferid Tounsi, Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII) told TAP.

The meeting to be held on the theme of “SMIs, driving force of employment and development,” will be jointly held by the APII, the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining coming under the Arab League and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group. Participants in the three-day meeting will discuss different issues related to SMIs such as “support for SMIs funding in Tunisia and in Arab countries,” “SMIs and job opportunities for youth and women,” “upgrading and innovation in enhancing SMIs’ competitiveness” and “Arab and international programs in matters of support and funding of SMIs.”
