Around 4,586 agricultural investment projects, worth 323.027 million dinars (MD), were approved by the end of September 2025, marking a 30% increase in value compared to the same period in 2024, according to data published Friday by the National Agriculture Observatory (ONAGRI).
All of these approved investments received subsidies totaling 80.335 MD, slightly down 1% from the same period in 2024.
Land credits worth 4.128 MD were also approved by the end of September 2025 to integrate 232 hectares of land into the economic cycle.
By sector, the largest approved investments through the Agricultural Promotion and Investment Agency (APIA) were in agriculture (138.37 MD), followed by aquaculture (75.047 MD), agriculture-related services (71.052 MD), fishing (13.041 MD), and primary processing of agricultural and fishery products (3.12 MD).
These investments created 1,815 jobs by the end of September 2025, up 8% from 1,681 jobs in the same period of 2024.
Investments approved for young promoters totaled 34.554 MD (11.5% of total), while investments for women promoters reached 13.035 MD (4.4% of total).
Foreign investments reached 3.507 MD, down 57% from 8.1 MD during the same period in 2024.
