The Puma Energy company has launched a P27 million (US$3 million) aviation fuelling facility in Botswana’s resort town of Maun.
The new fuel storage facility, which can fuel up to seven aircraft simultaneously, is expected to bolster the country’s aviation industry and propel the tourism sector.
“We are providing state-of-the-art fuel facilities, an investment that will directly benefit our tourism industry as we endeavor to provide reliable, safe and efficient products and services,” Mahube Mpugwa, Puma Energy General Manager, said on Friday.
“Our government’s efforts are a quest to create an enabling environment for the economic growth and prosperity of our nation, whilst Puma Energy is investing in our shores to cultivate resources back to where we operate and draw our employees,” he added.
Puma Energy is the sole supplier of products in aviation and mining sectors in Botswana.
