Qatar economy set for 15% growth in 2010 – BMI

Qatar’s booming economy is seen growing by more than 15 percent this year, driven by the country’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) production, according to a new report.

Business Monitor International said that real GDP growth was likely to fall back to 10.3 percent in 2011, followed by years of single figures “stabilisation”.

“This year will be a massive one for Qatar’s fastest-growing revenue generator, its LNG sector,” the latest Qatar Business Forecast report said
