The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Hage Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia.
They discussed steps to tackle poverty and inequality, and Namibia’s leadership in furthering good governance and anti-corruption measures. They agreed on the importance of advancing the Sustainable Development Goals and addressing climate change.
The Secretary-General also acknowledged the leadership of Namibia in promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment.
