Orange Tunisia has announced the appointment of Stéphane Varret as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Thierry Millet, who was recently named CEO of Orange Money Group.
With more than 20 years of experience within the Orange Group, Stéphane Varret has held strategic positions in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East in the areas of finance, business development, and corporate transformation.
Since March 2023, he has served as Director of Strategy and Development at Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA), covering 17 countries.
In this role, he oversaw the regional rollout of the “Lead the Future” strategic plan, as well as major projects in long-distance connectivity, infrastructure (tower companies, satellites), and mobile financial services.
He also led several external growth operations, including the Orange-Vodacom joint venture in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He holds a Master’s degree in Economics (Paris II Panthéon University), a Master’s in Business Management (ISC Paris), and a Senior Executive Program in Finance and Management (ESCP Europe).
Stéphane Varret combines a strong academic background with recognized expertise in managing complex projects.
Notably, he served as CFO and later Deputy CEO of Orange Côte d’Ivoire, as well as CFO of Orange Spain, where he played a key role in the company’s return to growth and its strategic merger with Masmovil.
His international experience and deep understanding of the sector’s strategic challenges will be major assets in supporting Orange Tunisia’s development in a context of innovation, digital transformation, pursuit of operational excellence, and the rapid expansion of high-speed broadband services.
Married and a father of three, Stéphane Varret officially assumes his new role on September 1, 2025.
