Banque de Tunisie reports half-year net profit of 85 million dinars

Banque de Tunisie has published its interim financial statements as of June 30, 2025, showing solid performance.

Operating income reached 457.3 million dinars, compared to 439.5 million dinars a year earlier, up 4%.

This improvement was driven mainly by higher investment portfolio income (+15.6% to 67.6 million dinars) and commissions (+5.1% to 46 million dinars).

Net Banking Income (NBI) amounted to 261.1 million dinars, slightly above the 259 million dinars recorded in the first half of 2024.

Operating expenses stood at 196.1 million dinars, moderately higher than the 180.5 million dinars a year earlier. Provisions reached 37.6 million dinars, reflecting the bank’s prudence in managing credit risk.

Operating profit stood at 134.9 million dinars, compared with 141 million dinars in the same period of 2024. After corporate income tax of 44.9 million dinars, half-year net profit came to 85 million dinars, up 4.7% from June 2024 (81.2 million dinars).

Customer deposits showed significant growth, reaching 6.79 billion dinars (+11.2% year-on-year), confirming depositor confidence.
