Tunis: purchasing power fell 20%, according to ODC

The Consumer Protection Organization is concerned about the state budget for 2014, which, it

said, was developed without taking into account the deteriorating economic and social situation of the country and of social classes, including the middle class.

It said that the purchasing power of citizens has declined 20% since the Revolution, due to rising inflation and excessive price increases in a market characterized by imbalances that have become structural and permanent.
