Tunisair/ COVID-19: Travel conditions to UK

The national carrier Tunisair recalled in a press release on Monday the conditions for travelling to the United Kingdom.

Tunisair pointed out that fully vaccinated passengers (Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna and Janssen) travelling to the UK must book and pay for a COVID-19 test to be conducted on the second day after their arrival. (Booking and payment before departure).

They must also complete the passenger locator form 48 hours prior to arrival, stating the reference of the test booking in the form via the Public Health Passenger Locator Form link (https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk).

Passengers who are not fully vaccinated must undergo a pre-departure test within 3 days of arrival and book and pay for two COVID-19 tests to be conducted on the 2nd and 8th day after arrival (Book and pay before departure).

They must also complete the passenger locator form 48 hours prior to arrival, mentioning the test booking reference in the form via this link Public Health Passenger Locator Form (provide-journey-contact-details.homeoffice.gov.uk) and comply with a 10 day home quarantine.

Tunisair further specified that children under the age of 11 are exempt from the COVID-19 pre-departure test.

Children between the ages of 5 and 17, resident in the UK or in countries with proof of vaccination accepted in the UK, follow the conditions for vaccinated passengers with proof of vaccination accepted in the UK. Those resident in other countries follow the requirements for unvaccinated passengers. However, they are exempt from the pre-departure test.
