Tunisia: ‘’Assad’’ reports decline in exports, rise in debt

The turnover of Tunisian manufacturer of accumulators and batteries “Assad” fell 15.9% from 17.8 MTD to 15 MTD in the first six months of 21013, due to a context marked by a still difficult conditions in the European markets, according the company’ management.

Production also declined 2.5% compared to the same period of 2012 while the company’s overall debt grew 27%. It rose from 37.6 million dinars at December 31, 2012 to 47.7 MTD at June 30, 2013.
